Who is Christina Ellingsen and why being a feminist could land her in jail in 2022?

About her

Christina Ellingsen  is a known feminist campaigning for women’s and girls’ rights based on sex, she is the Country Contact for WDI Norway

Her feminist activism

In May 2021 Christina received a complaint from the police about tweets that have been posted by the WDI Norway’s account. The complaint was made by the leader of Norway’s largest queer organisation that promotes, for example, that prostitution should be removed from the laws protecting against human trafficking. In this context, the representative of this Queer organisation was asked if they were in favour of lowering the age of consent, and this was one of the points that the transactivist used, claiming to be accused of being a “paedophile”, this being the second time that a member of this organisation has reported a woman who has concerns about the policies that this transactivist organisation promotes to the police. The transactivist uses this “paedophile accusation” to silence Christina by claiming discrimination.

However, it is widely known that in both academia and queer activism, queer theory advocates for the removal of the age of consent.

Her “sin”

Christina is being charged with a “hate crimes” offence for tweets like this one: “Why is FRI (the queer organisation) teaching minors that men and boys can be lesbians? Isn’t that conversion therapy for lesbians?”. Amnesty International Norway adds to the attack on Ellingsen by saying that she harassed Jetoft for telling him that men (like him) cannot be mothers the same as lesbians. Transactivism makes a simple fact as telling the truth into a hate crime, harassment of feminists and even imprisonment for 3 years in this case. Women’s right to humanity and being able to defend it is what can land us in prison. Freedom of thought, politics and our intellectual integrity are at risk.

Many accuse feminists of “not being empathetic” with these men wanting to be women, when the “empathy” demanded of us women means agreeing with the misogynist paradigms of men, which is in reality subordination to their impositions, backed up by transactivism and the new “form of patriarchy”, the same one that objectifies and dehumanises us.

The police are currently investigating every tweet made from her 3 accounts (WDI Norway, Matriarchal and her personal account) in the last year for possible “hate crimes”.

Her work and the situation in Norway

Norway has a Self ID law enacted and currently these policies are pushing for lowering the age of minors by 5 years so that they can “transition” medically earlier. Christina explained that anyone who is critical is accused of “transphobia” or “right wing” even on this issue.

However, it seems that things in Norway are very slowly starting to change and the general public is noticing that not everyone, especially feminists, are “right wing”, not “bigots”, but women fighting for our rights and those of their daughters! It is these same women who are being reported to the police.

Christina also commented that as time goes by, more organisations are speaking out against transactivism, but so far few are speaking out openly and most “feminist” organisations still believe that the opposition comes from the “far right”.

In January 2021, Norway passed a law protecting “gender identities” under “hate crime” laws. In Norway this law applies to “minority groups” who would be considered affected, therefore this law will never apply to women because they are considered to be a “group” that corresponds to half of the population. Through this legal trap, any man, rich, powerful, etc, will be able to declare himself 3 times a “victim” using the “hate crime” laws: first for “being” a minority based on their “sexuality”, then a minority of gender identity and because these qualities make these men a kind of “gurus”, they would also get a third protected category as “indigenous”, explains Christina.

The Minister of “Equality” in Norway participates in films where women are ridiculed, shown as objects and treated as “gestating persons”. For this reason, Christina is campaigning to remind women that we have rights, that these rights belong to us because of our gender and that they are in danger. She warns that we have these rights because they are necessary for our survival as sexed humans, our protection and a better quality of life, and that therefore these sex-based laws cannot be replaced by laws that only address the desires and fantasies of men. These laws bring with them a legal obligation to accept men’s personal convictions and women cannot lose the ability to speak out against men’s individual convictions.
